Change and Project Management
The key to successful change / project / programme management is to use a variety of skills and tools depending on several factors unique to any specific project;
These include the organisations' maturity and capacity / enthusiasm for change at all levels, the make-up of the team to implement the project, the complexity of the specific undertaking and the apparent risks present during the undertaking.
The tools and skills base that are used include focus on the people (team, task & individual) and the three generic project goals (time, cost, quality). Other disciplines include using a Strategic Focus whilst also being able to probe the Detail in order to understand what is going on within the project and therefore how to undertake Management by Exception to achieve the most effective and efficient use to time and resources.
